
Stop Source Weight Culling

I just want to call attention to something a lot of modelers need to know for SFM model compiling.
By default, the compiler for SFM (and other branches of the Source engine) cull the lowest 5% of a bone’s weight on a vertex. You can, however, stop the compiler from doing that by using a hex editor.

I take no credit for this exploit, all credit goes to the people who figured it out in the first place, I just want to spread the word so more modelers know.
If you’re not a modeler this all probably sounds like random gibberish, but let me assure you this is a very important piece of information.
The biggest thing is it fixes the thighs and other joints on your models.

So please, spread the word to all SFM modelers, SFW and NSFW about this, it’s the best thing since sliced bread!
